Hi, I drilled (6) 1/2 inch holes around the existing
exhaust hole in an evenly spaced pattern. You will only
have to drill 1/8 of an inch to breech through into the muffler.
Be sure and not drill on top of the existing screw heads or you will
never drill through. It's really easy, took me and a friend 30 minutes.
After drilling I filed the rough edges off and painted with high
temp paint and it looked like a factory muffler. The sound was good, but still
sounds restricted.
I eventually sawed the whole end off anyway just to see "how much better" it
could sound. Sometimes I wish I would have left it alone after the drilling, so now I'm trying to decide wich muffler to replace it with.
Good Luck!!
